Generally, every weapon or defense gear has one or several additional attributes.  Some of them have been identified, while some not – unidentified attributes will be shown in gray color.  Unidentified potential attributes can be identified by relevant gem with the help of Blacksmith.  After been identified, the potential attribute will be activated.

A piece of unidentified equipment can also be equipped.
