Battle pet is especially for Hunter class.
When a hunter reaches level 10, he can accept a quest “Hunter's Friend” from NPC Hunter Tutor. Do as quest guide shows, and use item “Hunter's Catch Net” to catch a monster as your battle pet. Hand in the quest and you will master catch skill by then.
All the monsters with “Catchable” mark can be caught by using catch skill. But a hunter can’t catch monster which has higher level than him.
If you catch a battle pet successfully, its icon will be shown under your avatar.
Battle Pet has two types: attack type and defense type. With familiar degree increases, battle pet will gradually learn three kinds of skills.
Attack Type:
Holy Beast · Crit Rate: increase battle pet’s Crit rate by 10%.
Holy Beast · Swift: increase battle pet’s move speed by 50%, last 8 seconds.
Holy Beast · Absorption: let battle pet absorb amounts of damage within 10 seconds.
Defense Type:
Holy Beast · Defense: increase battle pet’s physical defense greatly.
Holy Beast · Swift: increase battle pet’s move speed by 50%, last 8 seconds.
Holy Beast · Sacrifice: let battle pet bitterly attack your enemy so that your enemy will be forced to attack it.
Some battle pets are talented to carry extra skills.
Use left-click to control battle pet skill release; if you use right-click on battle pet’s skill, battle pet will cast skill automatically in battle.
The only way Battle Pet levels up from is to accumulate experience when fight monsters. Player’s experience reward from quest can’t be shared with his battle pet.
A higher level battle pet has stronger fighting ability.
Battle Pet Hungry:
Battle Pet’s full degree will decrease gradually, and when it falls to zero, battle pet will refuse to fight together with you. At this moment, you have to summon it out and feed it some food.
Auto-feed:
If “Auto-feed” on battle pet interface is checked and you have enough right food in item bag, your battle pet will be automatically fed when it feels hungry. This function is convenient for careless masters.
Kinds of Battle Pet Food:
Different battle pets like different kinds of food. You will know from battle pet interface that which is your battle pet’s favorite food. One way to get these foods is to buy them from NPC Pet Manager.
